So last night I took out a picture frame that I registered for at Macy's and was going to use it but there was a scratch on the front - so I decided to take it out and inspect it a little more.
Well I was shocked to find behind the fancy Kate Spade packaging a gift receipt from 2010 and a shower card to another bride. Not only did Macy's resell a $100 frame that clearly was scratched and not new they sold it with another brides shower card in it. I AM PI$$ED!!!
Should I call them and complain or just return it and let it slide. I mean I know people return things all the time - but how dare you resell something with another card in it?!?!?!?
I felt like I was regifted someone else's shower gift.

Lol I'm sorry but that's kind of funny! I would probably go there to return it and I'd make a point of telling them you are returning it because it has a scratch in it - oh and another card!

yeah, this - you should definitely tell them of the defect otherwise they'll just put it back on the shelf - maybe for a 2012 bride
unfortunately the person who returned it the first time probably didn't tell the cashier that it was defective (in an effort to 'get away' with making the scratch, perhaps)

i would return it and just let them know what you found. they need to inspect returns more closely before reselling but you have to assume all returns get resold. point out the damage though so that this item doesnt get resold again

I would return it and let them know why. But also email them and explain what happened - I had a terrible experience with a cashier at Macy's a couple of years ago and emailed to complain and they sent me a $100 gift certificate.
