1. figure a budget 2. guest list 3. start looking at halls
If you don't figure a budget first and you pick a hall you can basically blow your whole budget on the hall alone. My friend really wanted to get married at the Palm House but in the end she just thought it was to much $$$$.

friends are telling me to have an engagement party....how does that go about??? and do ppl usually create a registry for that??
You can have an engagement party basically anytime 6 months after you get engaged. It's up to you if you want to register. We didn't only because we already live together and we didn't really need anything, we figured we register just for the wedding.

welcome to the addiction i would say first enjoy yourself and bask in the newly engaged glow. then make a budget and a guest list.

6 months will be in sept. so I guess I should figure out where i'm going to register soon. looks like my FH and I need to start brainstorming on that too.
