it's not a mess at all, all the BM dresses are seperated by designer. You should try to get there when they first open so you have first dibs on the fitting rooms. Bring style #s with you just in case you don't find something you like, someone can help you find it.

We had great experiences there for my BMs and even when my mom was looking for a dress but honestly we never went on a saturday, I hear saturdays are a little more busy -- just get there early and you'll be fine.

Have fun

Saturday it is usually mess because everyone goes on Saturday. They only allow 30 min in the fitting all your girls have to try on at the same time. Every 5 minutes you have the attendant telling you how much time you have. I learned my lesson I go on the weekday do I don't have to deal with that craziness

Get there before they open and wait in the lobby... once the door opens they put you into groups - girls trying on bridal and girls trying on bridesmaids. You dont get an appointment for bridesmaids. They explain the no frills and then let you go look. Go to the dressing room and sign up for a room - your girls will all have to share one room. Then pick as many dresses as possible and go back to the room - you have a half hour to try on. I would put my name on the list a second time as soon as you get a room - you'll most likely need two time slots. The girls are helpful but they wont pull dresses for you - you're on your own for that. Good luck!

Oh wow...my girls want to get there at noon...is that too late?? They say they stop signing up at 1:30 pm but they close at 3:30. Will that give me enough time???

Re: What should I expect from RK Bridal?

i went about 2 or 3 times during the week and it was so quiet in there. One time i think it was just me and a friend and maybe 2 other ppl that were together. We had all the time to look through all the racks of BM dresses, then whenever we were ready just went into a dressing room and were also able to take our time. When i got the girls together i did it during the week too and again it was the same thing and was such an easy process and very quiet there. BUT i had to go back on a saturday with one bm who couldnt make it during the week and OMG it was a completely different story. It was so packed you could barely walk through, then another problem is that with SOOOO many ppl in there, dont forget alot of those girls are going to try on lots of dresses so sometimes ppl can have the dress you want to try on. I saw this happen and this group of girls had to wait for these other girls to finish bc they had the dress they came there to try on. It S*CKED for me bc i had already picked out my bm dress, but went there with a bm for her to try it on, so as soon as i got there i went right in and got the dress and after that just stood around for an hour waiting for my name to be called off the list. Also you only have 30 mins in the dressing room on a saturday. Since my bm had to only try on that 1 dress it wasnt bad. But some girls had lots of dresses or were there in a big group and for all of them to try on all the dresses and then commenting and trying to decide, alot of them were trying to go past the 30 mins bc they werent done. But they will keep bothering you to get out of the dressing room.

Is there any way you can do it during the week? I met all the girls after work and they came after work too

I think noon is too late, it will still be open but you'll prob be sitting and waiting for a room for a long time. The later it gets the moer packed it gets. Is there anyway you can go on a Sunday? or at night during the week?

I went one day during the week with a few of my girls...all couldnt make it and it wasnt bad at all. I've even been there on a friday afternoon and it's not bad at all....maybe you can try to go on presidents day if you and your girls are off from work? just an idea. otherwise definitely try to get there as early in the morning as possible.

I would aviod going on a Sat.. they are crazy enough but Sat is like a wedding nightmare! Its crazy in there.. I would go like when they first open up to aviod the mess of people. The BMs dresses are the first things you see when you walk in. You can go and look thru them yoursleves and your BM can try them on without anyone's help. When you are done, the sale ladies will ask you if you are going to order it thru their No Frills Program, where you have to measure yourselves and no alterations included or order it regular and then the sales ladies will measure you and place your order.

I didn't order anything from RK but I did pop my head in one Saturday and it was very busy. It is very 'no frills' inside but I hear they have everything under the sun.

The salesperson suggested to come back during the week when it's less insane. The consultants seemed helpful and there was a great energy about the place. HTH! I would go early if I were you... they put your name on a list...

I went on a Saturday with 8 BM's without any issues! I thought it would be mayhem but it wasn't. We even snagged a couple of dressing rooms for ourselves! They went through the racks and picked out whatever they wanted and tried it on for me. We ended up getting dresses that we all liked for a steal - $93 with the no frills program!
