What should I expect to pay for flowers?

It really ALL depends on what you want/need. Do you want high centerpieces or simple vases? Do you need 6 BM bouquets or only 2? Do you need ceremony flowers, FG petals, petals to throw at the end. Do you want all roses, or carnations? Are the flowers you want in or out of season? I booked Burton's for my flowers because he does not care what type of flowers you use. Some places do. Some places charge a lot for stephanotis, so usually on the bride has it in her bouquet. I know for instance Lilly of the Valley is very expensive almost all year round. I budgeted $2,000 for my flowers and I need my flowers (all hand tied bouquets for the girls) (8) BM bouquets, the guys flowers, (3) Mom's coursages, (2) great-aunt coursages, (10-12) centerpieces (not high ones, low ones with candles), my Aunt's staircase wrapped in tulle, (2) ceremony pieces, fireplace arrangement and enterance piece. Burton's quoted me less than $2,000, but at another place she quoted me closer to $3,000. I suggest you think about what you need, what you want and then meet with a few of the florists.

My flowers are only going to cost us about $600.00. Probably because our centerpieces are included with our reception hall. That's with 4 BM's, 1 flower girl, 10 boutineers, 1 bouquet, 2 church flower arrangements, and aisle decorations, and with centerpiece upgrades.

They're located inside the Sheraton in Hauppauge. I forgot, he's throwing in rose petals and a throw away bouquet for nothing. It's a very tiny place, but they also do the weddings that take place at the Hamlet Golf Club in Hauppauge, and the Windwatch Hotel weddings. He's suppose to be really good.

And with your centerpieces already included in your hall price you made out great. THe Hamlet does not include centerpieces so I have to buy them and they add up on your Florist bill quick.

Burton and Son Melville

Hi all - I am using Burton and Son in Melville. I am getting 12 centerpieces, my bouqet, 8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, 1 jr. bridesmaids, coursages for 2 moms, 2 grandmas, 2 dads. I think that is it...I spoe with Mike there. He was great - very matter of fact, and you can get whatever flowers are in season at the time. TO spend more on flowers was not an option for me - I'd rather spend more elsewhere. Good luck all!

I am getting 12 centerpieces, mine, 8 bridesmaids, 8 ushers, 2 moms, 2 dads, 2 grandmas, and a grandpa, and a jr. bridesmaid. The cost is under 1400. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you all - still figuring this thing out!

I went to Spitz and Peck and James Cress. Got quoted $745 at SP and $650 at JC. I asked for: my boquet, 2 flower girl baskets w/ petals, bag of petals, 4 bouts, 4 corsages, and placecard table. I know these places are pricey, so I have appts with Pedestals and Burtons too.
