What should I wear for my (work) christmas party??

It's at Fox Hollow on Sunday, they said to wear cocktail attire. I prefer wearing a dress but I'm not sure I have anything that I could wear for a 'work' party. Plus I don't wanna spend a lot of money on anything new at all.

If you have a simple black dress you can wear that. Or a nice dress suit.

I would feel to guilty, I don't think I could ever do that. I know a lot of people who do that but I would feel bad.

dont feel guilty. The designers dont feel guilty charging 400 dollars for a dress made in china that costs them 2.00 dollars. They charge so much money for clothes that are made so cheaply and fall apart

Lets see. . .I think you would great in a cute dress that is in Express. . .it is extremely fit work/party. It is just below the knee, and it has a cute belt and it buttons down. It comes in black, dark red, and a darker sagey/bluish color. Also, on the plus side it is long sleeves (good for the cold weather!)

Hey that's my store! I manage the Centereach Mandee's. It's definitly the season for cocktail dresses.

Also, the buying and returning thing might not fly in every store, it doesn't in mine. Even though people think they can get away with it, we can usually tell and I tell my girls not to take it back. THink of it this way.....would you want to be the person that buys an already-returned dress after somebody already party-hartied in it all night long?

Wow thanks Donna very specific, that sounds nice!!!! I'm curious to see it. Which Express did you see it in? Was it Broadway?

And if that doesn't work, then I think I'll go with the classic little black dress, like everyone said you can't go wrong with that
