Holly Molly ethnic in NY, your kidding? heh, its about time!
Lets hear your list!

I have Albania in mine :D

I'm hunting for one of those sweet icky sticky classic Japanese love songs...

And I want to do some of the Italian stuff ... I just have no clue what they are, but I've heard bits and pieces living in Bensonhurst as a kid.

Denise, I dont think you need to worry about the music- I had a list like this for Starlight and ended up not giving it to them. I told them what I did not want and in gerneral what I did want. They did an amazing job with the music and know what songs blend well into others etc. I figure we hired them because they know what they are doing- so you do not haaaave to worry about this and can worry about your other wedding stuff. I was very happy with them and Im sure you will be too!

lol yeah but many times they wont always play ethnic music although some ive gone to have.

well for the italian crowd a classic is Te amo

also im probably spelling it wrong lol but felicita is a classic and this im definitely spelling it wrong but if you say it to an italian they'll know or maybe someone on here can spell it properly but ashante mi cantare is very good too.

Also if you play eros ramazotti that will be good hahahaha. I know quite a few girls on here though have posted alot of italian songs

i know but i am VERY picky for example theres alot of songs that i HATE but are popular and i know would be played if i didnt tell them not to. I dont like fergie, black eyed peas, britney, hate usher yeah song, outkasy hey ya and lots more like that which i know get played at weddings hahaha. Plus alot of these songs i want played for specific reasons. Trust me i am a music nazi hahaha. At my e-party i got so annoyed when they played usher-yeah and a few other songs. But for example the staind-so far away and slipknot vermillion pt 2 are special songs to me and fh and i really want those played since they mean alot to us and i know those are 2 songs they would never play unless i told them to

i did throw in alot of songs that i know the crowd would like, dont hate them but dont love them either i can deal with them lol. Some of the songs i posted are in that category

I totally understand!! I had a lot of songs I didn't want played and I told them those. And I said no ghetto rap hoping that covered a lot. LOL. They did do a great job with our must plays!! We wanted an 80's happy hour mix and DH gave them specific songs for that and everyone loved the first mix that a couple hours later they did a second to end the party. Huge hit!! So I must say that they are great with getting the must plays done!

lasciate me cantare is called l'italiano and by toto cutugno and i know this because I was obsessed with it all my life and every time it came on at weddings me and my dad would dance. I even asked him if it could be our father daughter song but he said no another great italian song for a wedding is sara perche ti amo - great great song and upbeat.

this is a great list - I think you have nothing to worry about just giving even this to your dj. I'm totally saving this!

follow me is a must have, also forgot to add silent morning but that will also go on my list. Those i have to say are 2 songs that remind me of the beginning of my club days. Going to palladium in the mid 90's, and everybody in our age group who partied around that time also love those songs.

Love that you put india-love and happiness, wow thats another throw back right there, that was another big one back then
