What sort of 'undergarments' to where when dress shopping?

What sort of 'undergarments' to where when dress shopping?

I am finally going to start dress shopping and have been thinking about what sort of undergarments to wear! I plan to lose at least 20lbs by the wedding,. Should I get a body slimmer so I can get a better idea??
Any other suggestions?

I didnt bring any to use when I tried on dresses. They gave me the long lined bra and slip. For my dress I actually do not need a bra or anything and i have not so small boobies. the lady who is doing my alterations said it would be fine not to wear one. HTH before you go out and spend $ on undergarments. Some dress you wont need them for. My dress is is a corset back. Ill put pics in my album for you.

Wear something comfortable and full-coverage because you'll be standing there in your panties in front of the consultant! Also, bring a strapless bra to get a better idea of dresses. I would not wear a slimmer - better to go in your current size and have it altered! I've heard way too many horror stories where brides had trouble with their dresse being too small!!

Also, it's a good idea to bring shoes the approximate height you would like to wear. And do your hair and make-up so you have a better sense of the dress!

Definitely DONT wear a thong, I totally learned that the hard way. The consultant will be with you helping you and your buns will be hanging out

Most of the places I went to I brought a strapless bra of my own, but they gave me slips and things to put under the bottoms, since sometimes you need certain ones for certain shaped dresses. HTH!

HAHHAHAH that happened to my friend and she had NO idea that she was going to be helped and she tried to back into the corner but there was a mirror there so there's no hiding that thong!

i went during the winter and i was wearing tights which i just kept on so i didn't have to flash my underwear. but other times, i wore full coverage undies

I wore a thong- and a slip! A short, nude slip that made me happier while standing there!

i wore full coverage undies and a strapless bra... even though i wont be wearing that bra with my dress on the day of.. it gave me an idea of what i would need once i start going for alterations...
