Re: WHAT THE...
dont worry. i doubt you gained 3 lbs from working out. first, if the scale is higher over a week or so's time, it's probably muscle. second, when did you weight yourself? you should do it the same time each day you weigh in. for example, dont weigh yourself when you just wake up one day, and then after a huge meal wearing a bulky sweater the next. it has to be consistent. if you weighed yourself before and after the gym, you probably 'gained' because you drank a bottle of water or something along those lines.

Re: WHAT THE...
Usually your muscles retain water when you work out. Give it a couple days.

Re: WHAT THE...
Do you mean you gained 3lbs from the time you got to the gym to the time you left the gym? Cause if thats the case then it's super normal! Weight yourself today, not the minute after a workout!

Could be muscle, bloating, retained water maybe?

Re: WHAT THE...
I have a habit of weighing myself every morning to make sure I am on track and not going crazy. Yesterday morning when I weighed-in I had actually lost 2 lbs over the weekend (I don't always weigh myself on the weekends). This morning when I weighed myself I had gained 3! I went to the gym yesterday afternoon after work. I am really hoping its water and muscle gain. Guess I need to pick up the cardio a notch or two

Re: WHAT THE...
yes, it's def water and when u exercise ur muscles get swollen, so I'm sure the 3 pounds are due to that
you gained muscle! and then again you're not gonna see the weight come off two minutes after the workout, let your muscles rest and repair, then weigh yourself again.

Re: WHAT THE...
It's water. You won't see that big of a change in muscle in a day. When you work out your muscles get injured, and they swell with fluid. And besides, it's normal for your weight to go up and down a couple pounds even over the course of a day (depending on what you eat and drink and whether it comes out that day or not).

It's water. My weight watcher leader told me never to weigh in after I work out because your muscles swell with water. don't worry
