Invite for 5:30, Ceremony at 6:00, Cocktail hour 6:30-7:30, Reception 7:30-11:30!!
Does anyone else think it's stupid to invite for 30 mins earlier?? I am nervous everyone will be running late, get lost, or traffic because it's labor day weekend..
No I agree bc people are always late and if you want things to run smoothly then you're safer with ppl there alil earlier. I'm assuming the Ceremony is not in a church, so if not maybe you could have some coffee & cookies or something to hold ppl over until the ceremony starts.
This !!

Re: What time is your day wedding starting?
Can anyone show me the wording on their invite if you had your invites stating 6:45, or 11:45, or 1:45 start time?
I know for 30 minutes past the hour they would say 'half past 11 in the morning' but I dont know what to put for 45 minutes past the hour

Re: What time is your day wedding starting?
Mention to your RH. When I mentioned doing this they said it's not recommended because of them setting up & guests 'just standing around' because some people arrive earlier then the scheduled time.. They told me to just put ceremony beginning 'promotly' at whatever time you are starting.. hope this helps

Re: What time is your day wedding starting?
nope,
our RH invite time is 6pm 630 pm ceremony and we are initing guests at 530. I would be really mad if people were walking in as the ceremony starts.

We decided to do the pre-cocktail hour after the ceremony to allow some photo time for us, and not miss much of the cocktail hour, as it's important to us to attend our CH. The food, and we can get most of our hellos and thank yous out of the way so we can enjoy the party!
