My hall is at 6:30 on a Saturday nite...everyone keeps saying that is early for a Saturday....do you think it is?? I'm starting to think I should make it 7:30-1:30 as opposed to 6:30-12:30.
Ours is 6:30-7:30 Cocktail hour then reception 7:30-12:30 on a Sat. night.

Church at 3. Cocktail hour at 6, reception starts at 7-11, then viennese hour at 11-12...

My ceremony at the hall is 12:30, cocktail hour 1:00 and 4 hour reception starting at 2:00.

My cocktail hour starts at 6:30 and the reception at 7:30. I think your time is just fine!!!! Its your wedding and everyone will have a GREAT time!!!

I had a Saturday night. My cocktail hour was 6:30-7:30
My recption was 7:30-Midnight
After that we were pooped but partied at the hotel

I would think that 6:30 is fine, since that is what time ours is. Our wedding is at 3 p.m. and that makes three hours in between church and reception, can't have much more time than that.

mine starts at 7pm.. and the church is at 145... everyone is wondering what they are going to do in between then
My reception is on Sunday night. 6pm-11pm. But I don't think your timing is too early, I'd go for that time too. Don't worry about what others say do what's best for you!

My cocktail hour is an hour and a half. It starts at 6:30 and ends at 8pm. Then the reception will be from 8-12am.
