what time to get ready for a sunday morning wedding
Hi ladies,
what time should you start getting ready for an am wedding. My wedding starts at 11:30 am and when I called for hair and make up I was asked what time I was getting ready so I said 5am and the woman asked what time my photographer was getting there....is that too early to get ready? my bms need hair and make up too so I thought that was enough time. any thoughts?

i think that is a pretty accurate time to start getting ready....my wedding is at 4:30 in the afternoon and the photographer is comming at 2:30 so for a 11:30 wedding i would think the photographer would want to be there around 9:30 in the morning and its going to take at least four hours for you guys to get ready depending on how many girls plan on using your vendor for hair and makeup

i had photogs at my place at 12-12:15. I had to start at 9.

thats sounds about right. Thats what I did for my friend that had the same time frame as you.

The best thing to do is to find out from your photog what time he wants to start, and count backwards from there. Mine starts at 11:30 also, and I have hair and makeup coming at 5am.

my ceremony is at 11:30 on a sunday too and my hair person is coming at 7am. but...i don't have anybody else getting hair done, just me. and i'll get up before she is there and do my makeup (i'm doing my own). our limos are arriving at 9:20 so i figure that is plenty of time for her to do my hair and for the photog to get some shots. photographer and video are coming at 8am

my ceremony started at 1130, but we got to WM at 930 to take pics. my hair & makeup people got there at 5 am, and the photographer and videographer got there at 7am.

the hair and makeup people should know what time you need to start to have everyone ready in time. Just let them know what time you want to be ready by, and they will figure it out.
Depending on how big your BP is, it may help for you to have 2 hair and makeup ppl. That is what i am doing. My ceremony is at 10:30. But i want to be ready by 8:30/8:45 to get into my dress and take pics at the house. So we have 2 hair and makeup ppl coming at 6:30 for myself plus 5 other girls.....otherwise we would have had to start at 4:30am!! There is NO WAY i am waking up THAT early! lol
i am using the Rock sisters and two seperate makeup artists.
ps...our photog is scheduled to arrive by 7:45am to catch the end of us getting hair and makeup

i Have an 11:30 sunday morn wedding and my hair and makeup is going to be at the house at 430am,, I have myself, mob, 2 bm,moh- she is the one who set the time so we can get photos started around 930- think you better talk to your hair dresser again.

My wedding is at 3:30 and my photog is coming at 1:30 so I'm getting my hair done at 9:30 I'm not a morning person and thought I would have tons of time in the morning but apparently not.

I think that's about right... but it also matters if you are seeing your FH before hand or not. We are seeing each other before hand for pics (so we don't miss CH). Our wedding is at 6 and we are starting to get ready at 10 am. But we also have tons of girls getting ready and our photographer is starting at 3.

My wedding was at 12:00 at the RH. The photog/videopgrapher was going to be there at 10:00 and I was getting dressed there as well.
My hair/make-up appt were for 7:30 because I told the salon I wanted to be out of there by 9:30. We ran 15 minutes late, but the RH was only 10 minutes away, so everything worked out fine.
The photog wanted about 1-1/2 hours to take pictures and we got that.
---------- Find out when your photog wants to begin shooting and where. Then go to your hair/make-up person and tell them that time and how many BM's you have so they can let you know what time they need to start. If you can, allow youself a 15 minute cushion time.

I started taking pics at 9 AM...and we started getting ready at 6 AM. I had two teams of hair and makeup so each team had 2 girls..and we finished a little after 8 AM. my hair and makeup people said they've started as early as 3 AM before! My photog started at 7 AM

I was up at 5am-showered and ate something- the hair/makeup people were at the hotel at 7:30am but I had a small bridal party so it went quick- the person that helped me dress was there at 8:15am. I had an 11:30am wedding and I was out the door at 9:30am because we took photos before the ceremony. We started photos at 10am.

5:00am....2 hair/make-up girls will do me plus 3 BM
7:00am...photographer gets their for some getting ready shots
8:30am.....leave for RH
9:00am....start pictures with FH and BP
10:30.....go up to Bridal Suite
11:00am....ceremony!

My ceremony is at 12, but we are getting to the RH for pics at 9 (and im putting on my dress there).
I think my hair and makeup is coming at 5:30.

I was in a wedding last fall on a Sunday morning. all BM and bride had their hair done starting at 5am. we did our own makeup, the bride had her done while BM were getting their hair done. we were all finished around 8ish and the limo brought us to the RH at 8:30. We got dressed there and pictures started b/w 9-9:30 until the ceremony at 11:30am.
