OK, how much are you supposed to tip the maitre'd? I was just talking to my FH and he is going from the 'weddings for dummies' book and I personally think $500 is a bit much! What are you ladies tipping???

My hall mandates that we tip $3/person. It is already included in the breakdown.

I think we tipped $350. My BM & Maitre D were the same person and $300 was already paid for the Maitre D as per contract.

Our contract said 3-5% suggested. Hope that helps. It depends on how big your wedding is! The expenses never seem to end!
