My aunt has decided that my cousin will be wearing a tux to our wedding. He is not in the bridal party, and FH does not want him in a tux. At this point I rather just choose not to battle this, but FH is ****ed. Do I tell my aunt that my 13 year old cousin can not wear a tux???

Re: what to do?
ahhhhh--that's odd---i don't know your aunt or how she would react to this-but could you kindly ask her why he would wear a tux??? mention that he might feel odd perhaps because he is not in the wedding party----man that is a sticky situation to be in-i totally understand what you mean about letting it go because it's easier than to cause a big tadoo (sp?) have your FH say something and then if she gets mad just say- I TOLD HIM NOT TO SAY ANYTHING! lol good luck

I think its cute.....my uncles are wearing tuxes to the wedding and I think its great. Christy, Flowerfield is fancy so it'll work.
In the grand scheme of things everyone will be focusing on you and FH, not your cousin! You'll be too pretty and fabulous for them to notice :)
don't sweat the small stuff.

I also think it is nice and I would be honored. Several people in my family will be wearing tuxedos to the wedding, it is not meant to take away from the groom or the wedding attendants but, an acceptable form of formal attire. It occurred to me that maybe the young man does not own a suit and they are renting a tux for him in lieu of buying a suit he will outgrow quickly and is much more expensive then the tux rental.

Does your aunt ever stop?????? Ever think of eloping???? Just kidding. Your wedding is on a Friday night and Flowerfield is very fancy so wearing a tux isn't the worst thing in the world, but I understand what you're saying. People won't even notice it. At least you have people who want to dress up for your wedding. I have cousins who might not even wear shoes!!!!

Tell your FH that he doesn't have to worry about a 13 year old stealing his thunder. I don't think you should tell your aunt he can't wear a tux. That just will create bad feelings.
