What to do?

What to do?

Please don't quote....
I was going to do a wish bowl for my wedding, and my FMIL came home the other day with a sign in book for me. I really like the idea of the wish bowl better than the book, should I just do them both? I like that with the wish bowl the guests can leave you little notes, and advice on marriage compared to the book where they can only sign their names....

I would just do them both. Have the guestbook next to the wishbowl so everyone that does one, will do the other. We aren't having a guestbook, just a wishbowl, but since you already have one.. I'd just use it!

Can you do both- like leave the guest book on the same table- I know most people wont do both, but it might hurt your fmil's feelings if you dont use her book

maybe after the wedding- you can kind of scarpbook the guestbook with the wishes that guests put in the bowl?

Can I ask what type of poem you are using for the wish bowl?

I still haven't found one that I like.. I'm open to any ideas that you may have though!

That's a good idea. I wanted to frame the pieces of paper from the wishbowl, but I could scrapbook them instead.....

I say both. It can't hurt. It was a sweet gesture she bought it!

Re: What to do?

One of my cousins at my shower gave me a gorgeous sign-in guestbook, but I had already purchased our guestbook from the guestbook store and that is what I wanted to use! My mom wanted me to use it anyway, at the CH or something and then still use the other pages during the reception, but we didn't. I hope my cousin wasn't offended!!! In all honesty, I would use the wishbowl idea. It is what YOU want and that is what matters! Unless there's a way you can do both since they are technically 2 different types of things... in my case, they were very similar which is why I didn't do that.
