I have at least 3 friends who are giving birth in Aug around the time of the wedding. I know they would like to come but they keep asking me how do they respond when I invite them. How do they answer. Any advice to give them?

Ask them how they really feel, I mean they may be uncomfortable so close. Tell them you'd understand if they can only come to the church.

Re: What to do about a pregnant guest?
I had three pregnant women at my wedding, one was 8.5 mos and she still came. Only one person who had given birth 3 weeks prior did not come to mine. I gave all of the women carte blanche to do whatever they felt they needed to and they all decided to come!

My boss's wife is prego and due in May..she is suppose to go early though. He told me today that she may not be able to come..so I included her on the seating card and have a place set for her at the table but I am not paying for her. If she comes at the last minute I will pay that night for her.

Personally, if you're asking whether or not to include them in your headcount, I would feel them out really, but personally I would just NOT include them.. I have one gf who will be 9 months at the wedding and I will not be including her.. she already told me that her husband will go and not her..
another point, this past August was my e-party and another friend of ours was pregnant, 9 months in fact, they drove all the way from Jersey and she only stayed until about half way through the cocktail and then left..

Re: What to do about a pregnant guest?
We had one guest who was pg. She was pushing her 8 months by the time our big day rolled around (pushing 9 months). However, she attended both ceremony and reception. Her husband was able to attend our reception only. They both danced, and had a good time. She wore a nice pant suit which (to me) didn't even look like she was pg, you couldn't tell that she was going onto her 9 month. After we returned from our honeymoon of 11 days we learned that this guest had the baby.
However, your 3 guests close to their due date in the same month as your wedding is cutting it. I understand the want to attend and share their joy with you, prehaps they can make it to the ceremony only? Good luck. I'm sure it'll all work out.
