What to do first???

I have been engaged since dec 10th. I am still looking for a catering hall. I have been looking at photos of dresses for myself and my bridesmaids. Tell me what you think of this? I am so overwhelmed. Do I have enough time? May 2004. Don't even have an exact date yet. I want to pic the hall first. Any suggestions on photography, videography etc....

Nice dresses... im looking for empire waist BM dresses too, to compliment mine. Looking for something about that color too.
I only have the hall, and the dress (which i had already). Nothin else... But ill probably talk to a lot of vendors next week

You have time to still book vendors for a May 2004 wedding but I would not wait to long because the ones you might want to use might either be booked are they can be booked quickly. Have you narrowed down your choices on halls? If not, you should look into the Manor East. ChippaTriD and I are both having our reception there on the same day. You get alot for your money. If you want information about the Manor East, send me a forum.

My photographer and limos both come from Brooklyn where I live.

My DJ is Let Us Entertain You. Chippa actually wanted them because Bill (the owner) is a friend of her mom's but she could not have them because I had already booked them.

If you have questions about different vendors or ideas just ask, us 04 brides must stick together.

Personally I think you should get the things that get booked up quickly done first. IE. hall, church, photo/video etc. just cause there are limited #'s... remember economics supply vs. demand. You can wait for the dresses and such. Im getting married May 22, 2004. We have time

I would definitely book the hall first. Then probably photo & band/dj next. You have plenty of time for dresses so I wouldn't worry about that yet.

Here was our order of priorities:

Hall, then band, rabbi, then photo, then video, then the stuff where there is more than one option and it is not first come, only to get....More relaxed with dress, florist, and bm dresses.
