What to do in January?

I haven't gotten exact prices yet, but I heard they were on the higher than average side. Many of my friends have used them and all of their flowers were beautiful. I met once with Mr. Cress and he was very nice and seemed willing to work with us once we had the BM gowns chosen and the color scheme.

Plus, he went out of his way to call me the following day with the number of a place that does chair covers because I told him I was looking for something specific which so far I couldn't find.

I will have more specific numbers after we meet and I can fill you in on the details.

BTW, I finally got off MY Arse and blocked some hotel rooms w/the Holiday Inn next door to CB.
I have to figure out how many I need for my BP though
Now I have to call Wingate Inn and Garden City Hotel and see which one I want for my first night as a Mrs

We got the printer this weekend, and I saw the program printed for the first time.

I FINALLY started calling about blocking hotel rooms. I blocked 10 at the Holiday Inn, although I wasnt satisfied w/their prices. . . . but they are right next door to CB.

I called Wingate Inn yesterday, and I like them better, so I'm going to call back today and block rooms here too, and give the guests a choice. Plus I'm thinking of getting a suite for me and the girls the day before and me an FH the wedding night.

Holiday Inn discounts AARP and AAA members. It might be worth checking the one you are using. I think the rate went form $159 - $143

this was my january list:

1-go for my hair trial with Jennifer from Fairytale (january 13th)
2-get my invites & matching programs
3-buy my stockings & undies
4-get my ribbon to wrap favors (already have the paper)
5-get paper & ribbon for bridal party gifts
6-buy the rest of my girls & GM gifts
7-pick my church music & readings
8-find wedding jewelery
9-go with mom to pick up her dress

now this is:
1-buy stockings & undies
2-find wedding jewelery



Monday is my hair trail & wednesday we are going to pick up my moms dress.
3-Invites I should have in 2 weeks or so!

I did good this month and it's only the 9th!

Bough some BP gifts and got shoes!! Still alot more to do on this January list though

1/2 of January is almost gone, and I am not on schedule. UGH But here's what I have done so far (and have NOT done)

I DID go yesterday w/2 of BP members and got their dresses ordered. The rest will be ordered Thursday, some at Commack, some on Netbride (the out-of-towners)

I finalized plans w/Pastor to have the RD downstairs in the Church (saving me $$$$) and to have the food catered in. One of my choices happenned to be Papa Joe's so I will wait till the GTG to see if I like the food

Registry - missed my appointment, cannot get this done this weekend either, ugh. . . well maybe if I have Monday off.. . we'll see. . .

Shamma's bringing the tiara to the GTG, yeah !!!!!

My FMIL can't seem to make a date w/me to pick out her dress and get it ordered, she will end up having to buy off the rack, NOT my fault !!!

Len is showing NO interest in tuxedo shopping. Does he realize we only have 4 months ???
He did buy his wedding shoes though
And I, as you know bought my wedding shoes too

Hairstylist - wacky was kind enough to give me a couple of #s and I'm such a stupid a$$ I haven't followed up yet !!!!!!

since i was last here (sorry i got a new job & i'm still adjusting) i have gotten a few things done also! 3 of my 5 girls have ordered their dresses. we will pick out and order invites saturday.
I booked the girl for my makeup.
we are speaking to the band tonight about the songs that need to be played.
tomorrow night we have an appointment with the photographer to finalize things.
i am finalyy back into the planning! YEAH!!!!

so wait, Im not the only one who hasn't registered??? I didn't know you needed an appt. I think im the a$$ here, Liz
and by no means will I list all that still needs to be done because just thinking about it constantly, 24hrs a day (it seems) is driving me crazy, if I list it I just know i will be overwelmed!!!!

Hey ladies, well you don't HAVE to make an appt, but we did so the lady could show us what we 'should' have, etc. .. . .
But we didnt make it so I will not make another one. I'm going to try and hit up Bloomies Monday w/o Len. If he doesnt like what I pick, too bad so sad, he can take it off and add whatever. I'm going w/my sis

As for Crate&Barrel, I'll wait for him b/c he LOVES that store and he'll get mad.
