Okay, so I know the dress I am getting for myself (Jasmine Couture H447). I am trying to find the BEST price (and service) for the dress.
I first saw it (and tried it on) at Lillette's, and ws told a decent price, but was (and still am a little) leary b/c the tags were cut out and I was not told of the designer (found it on my own, thank you), until I went back a 2nd time w/ MOH to try it on and her to try on BM dresses, and made an appt to bring in my mom, BP and FH's mom.
Now....I went to the designer's website and there is a trunk show this weekend 4/1-3 at Lestan's in Brooklyn. I have been forewarned by posts on here to 'steer clear' of that place. My thing is, would it be worth the savings?
I am also going to Bridal Reflections (Massapequa) to get prices (no phone quotes) tomorrow. I know there are other places to buy the dress, but I want a place that also carries the BM's dress (Lazaro).
What should I do? Is it worth the savings at the Trunk show?
TIA!!! -Jill

Re: What to do, what to do!
I would check out Burton's. i found my Maggie sottero at Lillette's (their price $950 w/ no cap on alterations). Through this site I heard about Burton's. I'm also a pretty standard size (I've boght bridesmaid dresses before and sometimes did not need any laterations) and my dress is a corset back. Well, burton;s beat the price by over $300 and they donot charge for alterations to the torso and the other alterations I might need (I calculated maximum possibility) are very reasonable.
Check them out. I think they are still giving phone quotes. If not it is worth a trip to Huntington.

Re: What to do, what to do!
We got the BM dresses for my wedding at Lestan's b/c we were able to save on the price. If we had to do it again, I think every one of my girls would have chosen to pay more and not deal with all the heartache they gave us.

You might also want to order it from netbride.com or gownfind.com (this woman will also alter your dress and is located in E. Northport). She has some of the best prices around.

I agree, they have quite a few complaints on the BBB. I would give phyllis from gownfind.com a call. Even though her business is run on the internet, she is located on long island. Also try Burtons bridals. They also have some of the best prices I've seen.

Re: What to do, what to do!
I ordered my dresses from RK. They were willing to match the cheapest price I found, which came from Pearls Place. I was able to save $300 on my dress and over $100 on my bm dresses. I ordered them through RK's no frills program where they take an additional 5% off the lowest price you can find. I will receive all my dresses by the first week of June. I have been there a few times and I feel very comfortable giving them my business. Good luck.

I definitely agree that you should try gownfind.com. I am planning on ordering my Jasmine dress from her. You can also try Flowerama in Elmont or Glendale. This is where I first tried on the Jasmine dress.

Re: What to do, what to do!
Okay, update....I will not be getting my dress from House of Bridals.
2 reasons... 1-they can not custom order, and any Jasmine bride knows, they can customize dresses, which I will need, need neckline ordered special (brought up 2')
