What to do with Baby's shoes?

What to do with Baby's shoes?

Hi!

Well, Paul grew out of his first pair of baby shoes about two months ago, and I don't know what to do with them. I've been meaning to ask all the Mommies what they did/plan to do with their baby's shoes - are you going to bronze them? If so, where can you get this done? If not, what are some other ideas?

Can't wait to hear some of the creativity on this!

Not a mommy of course but i think the bronzing idea is cute if you collect knick-nacks or have someplace to display them. Its old school of course but still cute.

Otherwise, I would get a shadow box like this and put a photo or two of him in the shoes and hang it somewhere.

I hadnt thought about it yet so I dont have any unique ideas however, bronzing baby shoes is actually making a comeback, it's more popular now than it was 10 years or even 20 years ago.

Here's a cute link, you can silverplate them too. Don't they look adorable

Liz, thanks for that site. Now you've got me thinking about bronzing or silver-plating. They even dip the binkies! I might have to do that too, b/c I have saved the small size and the larger size and I don't know what else to do w/them.

I love how the silver-plating looks.

Just wanted to add that I have Scott's bronzed shoes and a baby picture of him on a little stand in my LR. It is one of the few baby items that he has that was not destroyed in a fire his family had when he was a child. I know it means a lot to him to have it.

I will probably do this for our child, so I can keep them side by side. But I do like the silver plated better.

editted to post: Anyone want a bubble blower set for over $400 I must tell Scott that we NEED to get this for the baby

That will be so sweet, Michele if you do that with your baby's shoes too.

That's terrible that Scott's family had a fire. I agree his shoes are all the more precious if they are one of the few things he has.

I like how they maintain the worn look. The pair Luke wore all winter are so cute, the have that 'molded to his foot shape' look that is so adorable.
