Not sure how much you want to spend but .... Is she the pampering type? You could get her a gc to a day spa - massage or facial - mani and pedi etc...

What about jewelry? A spa package somewhere? Tickets to a broadway show?

Re: what to get fmil for her 50th...
she already gets her manicure every week... i dont think a play would be her style(although a great idea) and she is WELL stocked in the jewelry department
i think to treat her to a nice day out...spa or manhattan would be nice...
but you may want to fish for some clues...I got massages for my BMs and I was fishing to see if my mom wanted to go...and she said she didn't like the ideas of massages b/c she didn't want someone touching her...
it must be generational...b/c I can't get enough

What about a gift certificate to her nail place? She'll use it and obviously enjoys it if she goes every week. It would be a treat to go without having to pay for a few weeks.

What does she like to do, what are her hobbies? Does she play golf? Does she like to go shopping, read, watch TV, etc?

Hmm...this is tough! Sounds like she doesn't have that much time. I'm guessing a very nice dinner might be your best bet. Or, if she works in an office, you could get her something nice to display on her desk maybe? I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but you can get her a really special picture frame with a picture of you and your FH in it for her office maybe? There's this one guy who designs these unbelievably gorgous picture frames & little boxes but he's very $$$ (Jay Strongwater, they sell some of his stuff at Fortunoff's I think). But again, I'm not sure what your budget is. Good luck!!!
