Julianne will soon not fit in there anymore...in about 5 more lbs... I fgured she would just sit on the floor to watch her videos... she is too little to 'sit' in a chair, even if it was an infant one..she is not walking yet..
Rob saw some rocking type of seats..the 'kick backer activity seat'.made by step 2
says 1-1./2yr old and up...but I dont think will work

Luke just kind of leaned on the couch and sat on the floor when he was still cruising. Once they're mobile, at least with us, he didn't like to sit still too long so it wasnt worth investing in something else. Now he climbs up and the couch and hangs out.
Maybe you can try a bunch of pillows on the floor. I know that's always alot of fun around here.

My little 19 month older doesn't 'use' anything. She has run of the house. She sits on the floor, she has a small blues clues chair, she has little tykes table and chairs... mostly she is on the go so no time for sitting.

Phyl - I am amazed that she used the swing for so long. It is great you got so much use out of it. Annalise does not have a chair. She is usually busy playing with something else when she watches a tape. She is either standing or running around the coffe table. Sometimes she sits on the floor. I recently started putting a couch pillow on the floor for her because she was using the dog bed as a seat. YUCK!

hi gals- Julianne is only 18 lbs and almost 13 months old...so she can use the swing up until 25 lbs. and she loves this swing. She know when she sits in it - that it is time for her to watch 'her stories'..and she mellows out in it. Can't leave her in there tooo long..but it is still working for us
she is not walking yet..so I dont think we can get her to SIT in a chair..and hang out. I think the pillow trick may be it

I know my nieces were really hard trying to get them to sit ANYWHERE... as soon as my sister got them the stuffed chairs (one was Barney the other was Pooh) they claimed them and sat proudly in them! Alex is only 11 months, and hasnt fit in his swing or bouncy chair for quite sometime.... we throw pillows in his playyard area and he chills out in there.. and plays. I got my playyard off of EBAY.. I highly suggest it.. its by todays kids!
...would you bellieve I have not used my pack n play even one day??? and I cannot return it as it was the only box that hubby threw away!
I doubt that Julianne would tolerate going in there now

Oh.. when Alex was a baby we used it, but now it is extremely rare, unless we are sleeping at my parents! Did you click on the link to the play yard? Its actually their OWN space to crawl around or walk around in....
