A small map of NYC if you have guests that have never been there. I found out that you can get them for a small fee. They are the ones that fold up to a credit card size.

A tourist book on the area (if you can find some for free or cheap). Do a google search on the area and see if they have a tourist board, or go to that tourist place on Southern State Parkway near Exit 13 to see if they have anything you can take.
A list of restaurants in the area (I am going to type something up for my guests)
If you want to get fancy you can see if any of the LI wineries have small bottles you can purchase (or big bottles that are not expensive).
Maybe some 'I love NY' T-shirts that can be bought by tourist stores in NYC in Times Square (3 for $10)

Bath soaps, candles, snacks, bubble bath, water or fruit drinks to name a few things.
We are having ALOT of people stay at the hotel (even people who live in NY because my wedding is far away from where most people live). We can't afford to make up like 30 baskets so we are going to leave them boxes of Godiva chocolate with a handwritten note to each person.

Hello. I am putting a little note of thanks and in the bags/baskets, I am putting, homemade muffins, water, advil and mints and maybe peanuts![]()

I've seen little baskets with the ceremony programs in them, maps to the church and the reception, tissues for the church and a list of sites to see for out-of-towners or things to do in the area. You could also include a little welcome note from you and the groom. If I think of anything else, I'll post!

you could also go with often forgotten person items: travel size tooth brush, bath gel, disposable razors (I saw some in BBB that includes shaving cream)
