ok sorry i hit enter too soon. guess i was triger happy. So fh and i leive together and have for the last year. so we have a long of stuff already. we got nice stuff over the holidays and at our engagement party for our kitchen. my mom says i should do linens and so on but how does one go about this if you dont even know what kind of house you are going to have let alone your color scheme. I mean i dont want to rent forever. Well that is our project tommorow. i could go crazy in the kitchen department but that would be crazy. HElp i have to have a plan or FH will go nuts.

Re: what to register for?
fh and i dont live together (yet) so we need EVERYTHING!! we still havent done linens for the same exact reason. right now his room is a dark grey and he 'likes it just the way it is' not me.....it is way to masculine! but if you need updated items for your kitchen i would say go for it. my fsil and her dh lived together for almost 2 years and they registered for EVERYTHING right down to the ice cream scoop. so its up to you.

Get neutral colors like beige and white. Maybe you can even register for slip covers if you don't like your couch colors anymore, oh and definitely CHINA

Re: what to register for?
I am in the same boat, but I had my apartment and FH moved in. I registered for new things, since when I got my apartment I got the basic, things to live every day with and now it's time for the good stuff.
I would go with neutral colors also for linens, towels and stuff like that also.
If you need Kitchen stuff, def register for all that.
My plan is to keep everything in storage, until we get a house together.
