What to Wear

I have a Bah Mitzvah to go to on Saturday. After the Temple, they are having a pool party for the kids and a cocktail hour for the adults at a country cllub. I have never been to one before and have no idea what proper attire is. Any suggestions?

whatever you wear, make sure your arms are covered.. so if you want to wear a nice sleeveless dress, wear a shawl..

is it a very fancy temple? then wear a nice dress
I do not think you 'have' to cover your arms
I have been to many where people /women
both Religious Jewish and Non who wore sleeveless dresses

I dont think anyone would notice if you skip the shawl but one would probably look nice w/ a sleeveless dress

You can wear a nice dress since you will be at a cocktail party after...Bar Mitzvahs are not as fancy as weddings... WHat temple is it at..? You ares only have to be covered if the temple is conservative or more religious...
