What does someone wear to a nighttime show on Broadway????
I suggested to a friend that black pants and a nice sweater or shirt for her would be good.
For her husband, dress pants and button down shirt.
Was I correct? Whats the dress code these days for Broadway?

yes, that is fine.....people really wear whatever...the black pants and a nice sweater/shirt is the perfect suggestion!

That's fine.
A lot of people even wear jeans these days...some toruists wear shorts...but I just think it's more respectful to dress nicely. I wear black pants or a skirt and a nice top

Jeans are the new black pant, so as long as it's topped with a nice shirt, jeans would be fine.

Its really a matter of personal opinion I usually wear a nice pair of pants/jeans. I have seen people there that look like they slept in their clothes and haven't showered for months.
