What to wear to RD as a BM ...

I don't know if LIW makes me overthink everything, or if that's just who I am, but I'm really stumped today.

I've only ever been to one RD, and it was awhile ago. I wore slacks and a nice top, but I had come straight from work so I was in workwear. I have an RD on Friday and I'm wondering - as a BM, what do you wear? A dress? What if the bride is not wearing a dress and I outdress her? Does it really not matter as long as it isn't jeans and flip flops? I haven't had my RD yet (obviously!!!!) so I don't have anything to really compare it to!

I've worn dress pants and a top and dresses...either one sounds lovely!

i would go with a nice top and pants or a dress..both sound fine
