I'm going to a marketing party with my brother tomorrow to help him promote his buisness (since my SIL is out of town)... I know they have a 'blue' carpet and a step and repeat. They are having a CH and a reception all at the Allegria hotel.
What do I wear??? I want to look professional but it's also a party.... HELP!! This is all new to me lol
sofisticated/trendy??? does that even make sense??? (i.e. stuff like in Express)...

Do you have a cute black dress you could wear? Those tend to work for anything. Maybe a wrap dress?

Black skirt and a funky blouse? Black pants w/ camisole and cardigan?
And then pair it up with some jewlery and fun shoes.
I have a dress very similar to this from H&M that would be perfect for this. I wear it to work, to a wedding, to a communion, etc.! I was just in H&M the other day on 42nd street and they still had it- in grey and black and it was under $40 I think!

That would be perfect!! I'm loving the price tag too. I might have to run to the mall on my lunch since there is no H&M at Walt Whitman mall where I plan to go later
