My DH and I both grow up in East Northport, we looked at homes in the area and outeast (ridge, middle island, etc.) We ended up buying in East Northport which makes us both really happy.
If we had a lot of money I would want to live in Upper Brookville.
If I didn't work in Queen's I would buy a home in Southhold or Greenport (on the sound or bay)
If we didn't have so many family members on Long Island we would move to Arizona.

Connecticut, where I grew up. On Long Island, closer to my dad in Old Brookville.

I just moved to Hollis Hills 4 months ago - I lived in Oakland gardens before that - I love the area (I get so excited when someone knows where hollis hills is!!) ....here is a pic of my house:

There are many beautiful houses here in Oakland Gardens Queens, as well as Hollis Hills. But they all go in the 600-900k range.
I live in the East Norwich/Oyster Bay area right now and love it here. Would like to move to a bigger house on a quieter street though. I also love Cold Spring Harbor and Lloyd Harbor. Center Island isn't bad either!
