What trends did you wear that now embarrass you?

The big old champion sweatshirts - why? I had a purple one and my brother still calls me Grimace for it.

Flannel shirts. I was 13 and soooo not grunge, it's painful to see myself in pics from 13-15 exclusively in plaid. PS Melissa of the past - it's not grunge when you buy them from J. Crew.

The platform shoes with big old bell bottoms. Especially the leopard print platform shoes that I rocked in 1999 forever immortalized in my pictures - so, so hot.

cavariccis. even though i only had one pair b/c i couldnt afford more than that.

skidz....

other than that i am not really embarrassed of anymore than that. i did the whole grunge thing (i was a freak and burn out in high school) and it is all a part of me. i loved wearing docs with plaid tights and a pair of shorts or ripped jeans. it was fun and part of my teenage years.

and i am proud to say i saw nirvana and went to numerous lalapaloozas. oh and crowd surfing was always so much fun. it is a part of my growing up.

Flannels - my friends called me 'flannel shirt girl' in 9th grade cause I wore them SO much

Cartoon tees and sweats - OK I was in 6th grade, but looking back I wonder what I was thinking

OMG! where do I start? I grew up in the 80's after all!

how about 50 rhinstone bracelets on one wrist with an off the shoulder lime green mesh shirt and a black tank top under that - Madonna and Flash Dance combo

or how about a t-shirt that said 'Frankie says relax, don't do it!'

I remember I used to wear this green fluorescent shirt that had the word 'FRESH' on it in big black letters. I used to have a lot of fluorescent clothes.

I also had Really Really big hair. I wish I could go back and change that-some of my photos are just too much.

We used to wear like 2 or 3 pairs of wigwam socks, over the bottom of our jeans, how did we get our shoes on?

DH and I just got our wedding video and I put my HS graduation picture in our photo montage.... he just looked and said 'holy hair'

Oh, I think it had to be the wrestling pants/jams... I remember mine were tie-dyed purple and florescent green!!!!! So, so scary! And...I think I did wear them with my long sleeved Hypercolor T-shirt (which by the way, up until about 3 years ago, I still wore to bed! I LOVED that thing!)

And, Melissa RE: the champion sweatshirts...I always had to wait for them to go on sale before I could get one and ended up with the WORST colors!

Random story - I was too young to want the shirt or care about it when it came out but I love the song even now. DH and I were listening to it one day and he was telling me how he always liked the song, blah blah blah. He had NO idea what it's about sex so I had to tell him. I also think it's awesome that so many people wore it and it was a total sexual reference.
