What type of cake are you having/ did you have?

This is for my friend Cari - aka : Cacarina on LIW. & may also help other brides who are trying to get ideas for cake flavors & fillings...

What type of cake & filling are you getting or you had for your wedding?

We had 4 tiers:
4th (bottom tier): vanilla cake w/raspberry mousse
3rd tier: red velvet cake w/cream cheese filling
2nd tier: chocolate cake w/orange mousse
1st (top tier): vanilla cake w/strawberry mousse

Black and white cake with their signature 'fudge' filling (but it's not really fudgey..it's deelish from Carlo's!!!) for all 4 tiers. And a half sheet of red velvet with cream cheese...to throw some tradition in there. Red velvet with cream cheese also in the groom's cake!!!

We had 2 layers of devil's food, 2 layers of yellow cake, with one layer of white chocolate ganach and one layer of dark chocolate ganache....

oh how I wish I remembered what the cake tasted like!! haha!!

Vanilla cake with vanilla custard filling and buttercream.

Kept it simple and it was DELICIOUS!!!!! Got raves all around!

Gosh I'm still crazy about our cake!!!

we are having canoli and strawberry shortcake...alternating tiers(5 in total) and everyone gets a slice of each flavor

vanilla cake with a cappuccino chocolate chip filling for 1 layer

cookies and cream for another layer.

We haven't gone for a tasting yet so I'm not too sure, but we know that the cake will be all 1 flavor filling and buttercream frosting.

We had chocolate cake with black cherry filling... it was DELISH! (the one bite of it I got to have )

We are absolutely obsessed with this Rainbow cookie cake from a bakery in Queens, so my first wedding decision is before even bookng a hall is that is my Wedding Cake.

we are doing yellow cake with french custard and banana filling with buttercream frosting

alternating tiers of yellow cake with white chocolate mousse and chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse.

I'm thinking about asking my baker to make me a replica of the cake for my one year anniversary

We are having red velvet with cream chease frosting ... they are also putting a SUPER thin layer of fondant over it ...

entire cake (3 tiers) each tier consist of 5 layers:
alternating layers of milk chocolate and coconut cake. Alternate filling of ganash(sp?) and coconut flake butter cream

4 tiers of alternating yellow cake with cannoli and rainbow cookie cake. Rainbow cookie part was a little extra but so worth it!!! It was sooo delicious!
