This is for my friend Cari - aka : Cacarina on LIW. & may also help other brides who are trying to get ideas for cake flavors & fillings...

What type of cake & filling are you getting or you had for your wedding?

We had 4 tiers:
4th (bottom tier): vanilla cake w/raspberry mousse
3rd tier: red velvet cake w/cream cheese filling
2nd tier: chocolate cake w/orange mousse
1st (top tier): vanilla cake w/strawberry mousse

RED VELVET ROCKED!

We kept it simple - vanilla cake with chocolate pudding filling and buttercream icing. From Rolling Pin Bakery in E. Setauket. It was the best cake I've ever had!

I ordered the seashells through an independent chocolatier recommended by the bakery. They were 100 dollars extra.

we are having canoli and strawberry shortcake...alternating tiers(5 in total) and everyone gets a slice of each flavor

strawberry shortcake...LOVE IT!

REd Velvet cake with Cream cheese filling and whipped cream icing (so that it looked white, not yellow!) SOOOOO yummy!

We are absolutely obsessed with this Rainbow cookie cake from a bakery in Queens, so my first wedding decision is before even bookng a hall is that is my Wedding Cake.

OMG, dying to find a good rainbow cookie cake!!! FM me PLEASE!!!

chocolate cake with canoli cream wth buttercream
grooms cake yellow cake with fudge filling and fondant

We did a 3-tier winter white cake with raspberry preserves and lemon buttercream. It had cascading flowers and gold beads around the cake by Cara Linn Cakes.

A Cladduagh as well as Celtic theme is what we are centering Our Wedding Day around. We are def using Create A Cake bakery in Port Jefferson. They are fabulous!!!!!
We haven't went for a tasting quite yet so we are not def sure as Cake Flavors and such. That's still in the works!
But here's an idea of the cake I dream of

we have a ways but for sure we are having chocolate cake with some kind of peanut butter filling.... MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!!!

Wow that cake is beautiful! The Rolling Pin is such an amazing bakery. I live in the Setauket area and I go to the Rolling Pin all the time. I am definately getting my wedding cake there!
