I registered for the All Clad at Williams-Sonoma. But my SIL swears by her Calphalon. I think they're both great, just a matter of preference.

We currently have Calphalon, but we'll most likely register for some All-Clad pieces.

I like circulon, thats what my mom uses and I am familiar with them, so I registered for them. I had a friend who registered for the most expensive pots and pans you can find and now she totally hates them.

Good ol' Faberware. They have been around since the stone ages.

LOOOOOONG story but I actually got mine the other day-delivered from JCPENNYS--they are soooo nice--too bad I can't use them for a year and a half! LOL I got FARBERWARE Millenium Soft Touch they are so awesome--they are stainless steel which is the only thing I recommend--my mom has her same pot set from her bridal shower 30 years ago and I am not joking-they look BRAND NEW! Here is a picture of ours!

I am going to register for the all-clad as well (frosted silver ones). The only thing I am worried about is whether they stick because they are not teflon-lined.

Edited: is that what it's called- teflon? doesnt sound right - i need to sleep!

I registered for an Emerilware set - I think it is by All Clad and it is stainless, but cheaper that regular All Clad. THen I also registered for a couple non-stick pans separately.

Hi Ladies, visiting from the newlywed side..(we're addicted to this site and refuse to leave )
Just wanted to say, what groovy said. I also registered and got the most expensive, thinking theyd be the best (CAlphalon) and I HATE THEM!

They are EXTREMELY HEAVY, the handles get VERY HOT when you are cooking something, and they get splotchy looking after you put then in the dishwasher... Oh, how I regret it...
Im a very practical person, and EVERY TIME I get something expensive (which is not like me) I regret it. Go for Farberware, or anything more practical..
I HATE CALPHALON

Hope that helps..Sorry to any Calphalon fans, thats my true opinion.

I have the Farberware classic set, I think that is what it is called, my mother who has been married for 30 years, still has her farberware set that she got at her wedding shower. And besides the pot that my mom left on the burner for two hours and the bottom stuck to the burner, they are still in good condition.

I have calphalon and although overall I am happy with them, I agree with Anna. They are VERY heavy! If I were able to buy new ones I probably wouldn't get this set -- hard to strain pasta with the strainer in one hand and a 10lb pot in another!

I did the All Clad LTD. I like them so far. very happy with them. They are a little heavy (but I don't think as heavy as Celphalon) but they are ok. Hadn't had any sticking problems either. A few of my friends have them and highly recommended them to me.

The only thing that I don't like is the outside scratches easily. I got the LTD collection which has the blackish ouside - silver inside/handles and covers. The black has scratched since I have them piled up inside of each other in the cabinet.
