definitely go for it all!! lol we we're engaged in Dec. '08 and I had all vendors booked my dress ordered by April '09..I'm all for getting things done early so that you get the pricing for the current year as they will just keep going up!

Well said. I also did a lot of booking in 09, just to lock in the prices. I'm all about getting early prices as well.

I feel like such a slacker! we got engaged over 6 monthas ago and all we booked was our rh (partly b/c we fought over fh or cb for 4 months!) I'm just glad that i can tell him we're behind on everything!... actually... i have some checks, but not the normal ones.... rh, invitations, wedding gowns, dress for the honeymoon.

I narrowed it down to 2 RH's - did tastings at both, picked the better tasting... even thoiugh it was more expensive per person... food is the most impt part for us...

With your two RHs, you hit the jackpot with the one you picked, IMO. For me, I think the food is excellent at both..lol. What's a girl to do?

pick your second most important thing to choose from?

In that case, I'll end up going with CB...I'm still sooo in love with that place. Riviera too! They're both so different! But, my official tasting at Riviera is on Sept. 4th, CB doesn't do tastings until after you book so, we'll be picking the place soon enough.

Ive never been to the riviera but it looks beautiful and only one event at a time right?

I have been to cb and the foods always fab and the rooms are gorgeous!

Riviera is stunning, one event at a time. The Bridal Suite has this huge balcony, I love it! CB is more of a modern look that I know FH will be sold on. I'll probably let him choose. It's too hard for me. It will come down to the food..the prices aren't that much different in my opinion.

CB is nice and the food is great. There's so much of it too!!! We had to choose between FH and CB (both owned by Scotto Brothers). It was a tough choice. To taste the food, they should give you a discount over at the Rose Hunt. Usually drinks/appetizers. Also, check out their showcases. There is always a whole bunch of trays being passed out. The Inn and Fox Hollow had the best food selection if you ask me. You sit down and they just start bringing you everything.

So we booked:
Church
RH
Band
Flowers
Photographer

Next is finding a videographer & firming up the limos & then picking out a color scheme and dress for the girls.

Started our registry and also figured out what I want to get the bridal party for gifts!

Re: what vendors did you book so far

wow i feel behind!!!! i am currently looking for RH but because of the area and requirements I have only like 4 options so i should figure it out soon. How did you all book your dj/photog and stuff before your RH? I thought you would need to book the RH in order to have a definitive date.

CaseyCase: I know how you feel about feeling behind. If it makes you feel better all I have is the RH and we are having the ceremony location there too). We have plenty of time...so no reason to feel stressed for time. People just do things early/when they have time :)

so when you have time you get get it done

on that note....What does everyone think about looking for an officiant/dj/photographer starting Jan is good?
Save the dates in August/September?

Thanks so much

Re: what vendors did you book so far

So far we have a reception hall & a church, looking for a photographer. Met with Thomas Paul last night & have an appt with Lighthouse photography tomorrow night. I'm not sure how much photos go for these days. Can anyone send a reasonable price that includes our album, 2 parent albums, photos on a disc, 11 x 14's for an artistic style? I am blind here!!
