you family's reaction when you first introduced FH to them (when you were dating)?
I was thinking about this earlier today, and was curious about how your family's first reactions to your boyfriend (at that time) who's now your FH (or DH for those who've already gotten married).

My brother SWORE FH went to rehab with him!!!!!
But FH was never in rehab...I even checked with his folks!

They liked him, but it took them a long time to really accept him. My parents have never liked any of my boyfriends.

I met FH when I was living in Vegas and we moved across the country together....and moved in together after dating for 4 months! My parents never met him but they handled it just fine!
I think they loved him before they even knew him because I talked so highly of him....and when they met him they instantly loved him :)

Thankfully they immediately liked him. It was tough for them to lose some of my attention from them to him..but they ultimately just were happy that I found someone that made me giddy

I had gone out with my now FH on 3 or 4 dates, but I hadn't told my parents about him yet. One day, my mom was asking me why i don't have a boyfriend yet (and that she'll never see me get married...oh the drama of Greek moms!), so I told her I've been seeing this guy.
At first, she was stunned, then she began asking questions...what does he look like...where is he from...what does he do...how old is he?
Regarding that last question about age, I told her that he was 27 (and I was 28), so my mom said, 'So you told him you're 26, right?' I told her, no, he knows I'm a year older than him, and she says, 'Why'd you do that?!? It'll never work if you're older than him!'
So much for that prediction!!

my dad liked him well enough in the beginning, but was concerned about his age - DH is only 6 years older than me, but i was 29 and he was 35, so my dad wondered why a 35 year old man was still single and never married. i thought it was weird, my dad is old fashioned like that. they actually like each other very much!

My mom and FH did NOT like eachother for awhile. They did at first- but they have the same birthday and the same stubbornness- so they always butted heads. Luckily- both parents love him now

Mt parents haven't met him yet! Seeing as he lives in LI, I live in CA and they're in CO! But next week we're both flying to CO and spending 4 days with them. I really hope they like him! lol i'm sure they will and he'll like them too.
I have met my FH's parents and they just love me. I'm not suer why but ok I'll take it!!!

They loved him! Whats not to love? He's sweet, polite, has a good job, and treats me well (in front of them, anyway)

My family took to my FH so well, I couldn't believe it.
They even acted all insane and crazy around him like he was already a part of the family, which didn't sit well with me at all!
My mother is so excited to be gaining my FH as a son, even more so then she is happy that I AM HAPPY.
I don't know anyone who doesn't love my FH.

they loved him. Fh is very polite, sweet and a good kid. He met my mom first bc my dad was away at the time. Then when he met my dad him and my dad both were SO nervous. My dad in the past didnt care to meet my bf's and when he did he barely spoke tothem lol. FH and my dad got drunk together and had a good time lol. My dad thought fh came from a good family, was very smart, and a gentleman

My parents liked him, then again everyone does.
One of my BMs didn't like him when we first started dating and when we got engaged she said 'Thank God! I couldn't imagine my life without him!'

everyone loved fh he is a very likeable guy- we were also friends before we started dating so mom & dad would hear about him from time- to- time my dad took to him very quickly.....
