What was...

Re: What was...

we were only in 7th grade. so when FH started calling my house my dad would yell at him to 'never call our f**king house again' and then my dad would hang up on him (i guess he thought I was too young to be talking to boys). FH being the smart a** he is.... would wait 2 mins and then call right back

my family loves him now though.

They knew he was the one even before I did. My dad loved him - said he had short hair and shiny shoes....therefore, he was stand up guy!

ha!

he came over my house with a group of friends and i ran over to my mom and i was like MOM I LIKE BRYAN! He's so cute!

and my mom goes 'Well don't get your hopes up. I think he likes your friend--not you!'

i was crushed! thanks mom!!

but after we started dating my entire family fell in LOVE with him.... i think they like him more than me

Re: What was...

They liked him , but they were concerned that he was 36 and never married and lived at home!

They didn't understand the only child/ divorced parents dynamics in his family ( not to mention he was supporting the household , but thats another story), and frankly neither did I at first.
But he was so nice and we just clicked from day one and I had dated such a**holes that I decided to give it a shot .

Once we got engaged and moved in together ( in less the a year of when we started dating) they accepted him and love him like a son .....

his mother on the other hand still leaves a lot to be desired , but it is what it is

Re: What was...

My parents already knew my FH through my brother. He was friends with him in High school. So they liked him already.
