FSIL shower is weeks away and i wanted to make her a basket full of goodies.. I got the customized undies and a customized apron, toasting glasses with a bottle of champagne, was thinking of making her a bridal survival kit full of necessities for the day of..making her a customized tank as well that says 'i do' but i am stuck on what else to put in there.. I want it to be 'different'...
Any of you girls can recommend your favorite non registry gift.. I was gonna add something kinky in there..but i am really hesitant..last time my family got together for a shower..a FULL box of kinky toys was passed around.. next thing i know- box is 3/4 empty and all these kids are running around with the toys they got a kick out of the ones that lit up...lmao and my old school greek aunts..were NOT happy campers..

What I've been seeing that's cute is people doing the whole something borrowed, something blue, something old, something new. You can really have fun with that.

Not my shower, but I know someone that got baskets for each holiday with home decor. Thought that was sooooooooooooo cute!!!!!!!!

Oooh my best friend/MOH did that for me!! I loove it. Definitely my favorite.
FH's favorite shower gift is the sandwich press. He uses it every day, no exaggeration. He can't get enough of it!

My best gift was from my mom.
Back in 88 or 89 she bought a cookbook that the PTA from my elementary school put together to get printed (guess for funding or whatever).
Anyway, she kept it all these years and gave it to me as a 'Vintage' gift as she so put it.
I love it! I look back and it has my moms recipes, my friends moms recipes, and people from way back.

My mom made me lots of different baskets, one was a holiday basket, and one was all these different bottles of wine with a poem. It was so cute! She also made me a baskets with sooooo many different cupcake liners since she knows I love to bake.

The 'just married' flip flops are fun and cheap!
The best gift I got so far? hmm... all my china. I can't even BELIEVE I got it all already. That is something that was really special to me and I am so happy I got. Also - the Slow Cooker and Williams Sonoma Cookbook.

I made a basket for my sister as well (actually 2). One was for the Girls' Night Out. The other was intended for the honeymoon.

98% of my gifts were from my registry. My cousin did a basket of candles all different colors and a poem with it. Like burn this during your first dinner as man and wife...etc. She bought a beautiful pair of Waterford candlesticks to go with it. It was very cute. The other non registry item was a Wizard of Oz cookie jar - love it!

I didn't have a bridal shower really, but I got a few gifts at my ladies luncheon.
So far the most useful gift I got has been my dirt devil handheld vacuum. Then again, DH is very hairy and the bathroom is like tumbleweed if I don't clean often.
Probably TMI...
My MOH got me a new coach poppy purple bag that I used every day since I got it. Love that thing!!!! She works at coach so I didn't even feel guilty about it!
Sorry I can't be more helpful. I think the holiday decor is a great idea, but probably hard to do. You people are so creative!

I got a wedding scrapbook with a TON of extra stickers and embellishments to go with. I LOVED it. Now I can make it my own.

My friends and family all made pages in a scrapbook... they even had DH make a page! And each page has pics of me with the person, and they all wrote something. I love it and it's huuuuuge!
The holiday idea is a cute one!
Oh and there was a lingierie poem they had and all of my BMs got me a different outfit for every night of the HM.

I just did a candle basket for a girl at work geting married at the end of the month and it was a big hit. Everyone made a copy of the poem!
At my FSIL's bridal shower everyone in the bridal party did a few pages of a scrap book. I think that was such a personal gift and she'll have it forever!
