What was FH up to...

...before or when you first met him?

When I look back at FH's life 'before' me, I can't help but laugh at how much it's changed. Beyond school (we met in college) and working at Home Depot, he was always at a bar before we got serious - no matter what night of the week it was or what he had to do the next day, he was always at a local bar drinking, hanging out, playing pool until all hours. I could call him on any week night and sure enough, he'd be at the bar (in a social manner - he wasn't an alcoholic ). Ah, the life of a bachelor. Now, he's an accountant, we rarely get to the bar anymore (it's cheaper to have everyone over and drink at home ) and he gets in to bed by at least 11pm on week nights. What about your FH's? What were they up to?

25lbs lighter- I BAKE A LOT!

I've notice my fh getting a little chubby as well...guess we're just feeding them well!

Besides being 'lighter' my fh was hanging out with friends, playing in his band, and playing world of warcraft...I'm grateful that game is out of his system.

he lost his Mom the year before and was quite a wild boy - he was a pro downhill mountainbiker sponsored on the fox team.

now he's normal and not quite a daredevil!!

Wow!! My FH downhill mountain bikes as well!!
Thats weird!LOL! Crazy guys! I wonder if they know eachother?

That sounds like our story

When we met he was always partying and at bars (college). I partied quite a bit myself

Now he is my business man, me in finance we are in bed early every night...and we prefer NOT to go out to bars but to entertain at our home!

Honestly 7 years and we have morphed into a completeley different couple!!!!

Pretty much the same, his life has changed so much, and for the better. Same fact pattern as yours. He is now more focused on his career, at which he is a star, than his friends ( who are all f-ups). This is so weird, because we literally (see the ' have you broken up?' thread) in the middle of what could be the end. And now, I'm wondering if it was right to take him out of the world he fell into so naturally . . . .

My FH was just receiving his doctorate in PT school and was just worrying about his profession. He was dating on Match.com., but not at all a party guy. He really was never a party guy or playa-thank goodness because he has no shady past.
