What was most important to you about the RH you booked?

Original post by MaureenM618

I was just wondering what was your major attraction to the RH you booked? I know it's probably a combo but what was most important to you or in what was your order of importance when deciding. If you came down to deciding between 2 places what guided your final decision. Was it location, price, menu, ballroom style, gardens, etc... Just curious. Thanks

We are the only wedding-the ENTIRE day, we have NO minimum-the views are gorgeous, the food is amazing, we can take pics right there-but will probably end up taking them a somewhere else also, price, and then location.

Price was part of it but really we just loved the look of it

Food was number 1. I also loved that it was newer and that not a lot of people had had their wedding there yet AND the fact that it only does 1 wedding at a time. Plus I felt a click with the bm

The food and the fact that there is only one wedding at a time.

What drew me to East Wind's Estate was the beauty of the reception hall-the cocktail hour room-
that was the initial draw-but then we had the food-which was delicious-they come highly recommended by peope who have eaten there before-plus, we wanted a lot of add ons and they gave us a great price for it

we wanted something that was both initmate and elegant... and we didnt want old world decor... my biggest thing was having something on the water and possible outdoor ceremony... I got that at vyc. check it out.

I loved the outdoor cocktail hour and the place was just beautiful!

Elegance.

Both my FH and I wanted a place that was elegant and fit our personalities. The room was most important, as some of the places we saw had odd shaped dance floors, or low ceilings, or just looked cold.

I wanted an outdoor ceremony...The look of the ballroom and outdoor facilities was important to me!!! I was not picky about the date, day or time...

To us the most important was finding a place that had only one wedding at a time. After that, FH wanted to find a place that had built-in bars, he did not want rolling bars. Those were our 2 biggest things.

We knew both our ceremony and reception would be in the same place so we wanted somewhere that would be beautiful for both. I also wanted somewhere that I could take all my pictures - so I wanted gorgeous grounds. Basically though, we just knew it when we walked in the door.

Mostly price range then we made a list of all the positives and negatives of each place to decide which was more important - the one that had the most positives was the one we chose. There was no ONE thing after the price that was the most important. It's the total package - are you going to be happy if you don't have xyz but you get abc? Etc. Good luck!

I loved the price, the decor, and the fact that it is right on the water-so we don't have tom find a place to take pictures!

Same here. I saw about 8 places before the place we booked and I walked out almost in tears at every place b/c I didn't like any of their rooms for the ceremony. When I walked into mine...I cried tears of joy at how beautiful it was! I knew I had found the place. Also top notch service....only one wedding at a time and good food were very important to us as well.

See for yourself....

don't forget SPACE. Many places try to pack them in. I hate being crowded anywhere, especially at a wedding.

But price was a big factor too

For us it was:
One wedding at a time
Outdoor ceremony capabilities
Location (we wanted to stay local)
And of course, the FOOD!!

I had also wanted a water view but the price was right at Stonebridge and it met the other criteria, plus it was beautiful in its own right so we booked!!

I liked the feel of the place. No too many weddings at the same time. the outdoor grounds were very impressive.

1. that I was the only wedding taking place.
2. that the space had a place for pictures both in and outside
3. That the ballroom provided a layout where no one was 'far' away from anything.
4. food quality and selections.
