One of my close friends just got engaged and isn't having an engagement party. I want to get her something sentimental (not extremely expensive) and memorable. Any suggestions?

dinner at Ruth's Chris in San Francisco from FFIL. We went and they charged it to his card. I felt a little guilty, but it was so good!

A jewlery box for me and a watch box for him from the bombay company...so nice..not on the registry and very personal..plus I needed a jewlery box bad!

a gift card to home depot and the toaster oven i use everyday! it's a big one and i cook all our food in it - the oven makes our apt. really hot!

I receieved our lenox cake topper and a money tree. My aunt bought a plant and stapled lots of money to it, it was great.

I got a scrapbook from one of my friends. She put pages in there from engagment to honeymoon.. very personal and very sweet. The toasting glasses and a bottle of champagne was another one of my favorites.

I received many engagement presents that I loved but my favorite ones were the toasting flutes that I received and $$$$$$$$$$$$$...This always comes handy when you are planning a wedding. I think something engraved definitely gets to be of sentimental value.

Thanks so much girls! My thought was to go with the flutes and you all just solidified that. She loves butterflies - anybody seen any flutes with butterflies on them???

Cake cutting set from my MOH. Total surprise and I love it, first wedding day item we got. The $$ was helpful too.

My sister (MOH) got us a blanket with our name and date engraved on it. That was my favorite!
The worst (I know you didn't ask but I'm going to share) was a chip and salsa bowl that was olive green and it looked horrible. I would put ANYTHING in it.

I LOVE THE LOBSTER POT!!!!! that's soo cool. i got the same unity candle set for my bday.

I have a couple. One was from my registry, two weren't...
Not from the registry, my grandmother bought us beautiful a waterford unity candle set.
Second gift, not from the registry, my MOH bought me the Martha Stewart wedding planner.
And from the registry, our lobster pot!

A planner from Exclusively Weddings from my MOH. This was a great gift because it kept me organized, and it comes with a tote bag that I can still use when the planning is over.
The Waterford toasting flutes my aunt got us are also great!

www.lenox.com do a search under butterfly and there are so many pretty things you can get her! -Kelly

we got lots of nice things but that bottle of dom p....that went to the top of my list....we smile when we think of what we will be doing when we pop that bottle!
i brother gave me a bottle of dp when i was first engaged and we popped it open in the limo on the way to the reception. it was great because it not only was delicious but sentimental
