my mom's friend gave us as part of our gift, a cross stitch, bride's name and groom's name, wedding date and a beautiful flower-in a tannish frame... I LOVE IT!

underwear treasury box---put lots of different undies on some sort of rope/decorated-like a clothesline...with clothespins put the undies in a pretty box,..and then when she starts to take them out, they keep coming out and coming out! it's cute and fun and memorable!

You can do one of those throw blankets from Things remembered, with the bride and groom's name and wedding date and a nice saying

Gift baskets-
My friend registered for a lot of bakeware, so I bought it all for her-put it in a pretty tub sort of thing-decorated it- it's different than just wrapping everything sep.

you can do this with all sorts of baskets/tubs/etc...
you can also do a honeymoon bag

Wine-one bottle for each month of the first year, they have a poem to go along with it-and you can buy coasters/those charm things/wine glasses to go with it...

my great-aunt (my grandmother's sister) who is elderly and sick and couldn't make it to the shower-knitted us a queen size blanket- and included pictures of her doing it! this was very special since she has terrible arthritis...she began doing a little each day from the moment she knew we were engaged! I cherish it!

My Irish linen Handkerchief from my GodMother.

I had one from my mother and it had disappeared.
So my GodMother replaced it for me because my Mother had passed away.
She knew that I was heartbroken that I didn't have my Mother or her Handkerchief on my Wedding day.

She is a sweet lady!

My mother kept sea shells that I picked off the shore as a child. At my shower she had put them in a glass bowl and gave them as a gift. We filled the bowl with water and added a floating candle to it. It was our centerpiece at the wedding. If I have a little girl, I want to do this.

My sister likes to draw, so as my shower present she drew a picture of my flower centerpiece (she saw the sample) and had it framed.

It is now hanging in the entry way of my apartment so it is always one of the first things I see when I walk in.

It was so sweet because she spent a lot of time on it and didn't opt to just by something off my registry.

one of my favorite shower gifts was from my MOH...it was a framed pic of us from her wedding. i loved it and it means so much more than some towels.
