I'd have to say mine was a CD...the wedding theme was 'two' and all the songs on the CD were duets...

I love the christmas ornament idea. Mainly because I am a christmas decorating freak.

now i'm really sad...because i was going to do the ornaments...

does this sound cute? i love crafty things and found a website that makes cookie mixes in jars and bags...so we're designing a favor like this...

a red fabric bag with sugar cookie mix inside...tied with a pretty ribbon and attached will be a tag with our names and date and the recipe for the mix on the back...we're also attaching a cookie cutter to the outside of the bag to the ribbon.

my all time favorite was my own favor - bottle of chardonnay from a LI vineyard

Cd's are a great gift. I went to seven weddings over the past year and we got all sorts of favros from frames to grape bowls. My favorite one was my fiance's sister. She gave out mini ice buckets. They were really sophisticated glass buckets with a matching tongue. At first I didn't think that was the best choice of favors but I was wrong. Everyone uses their ice buckets. Its a small one that we use almsot every night at dinner. I think any favor that someone will use it the best favor. I got an ice cream scooper a couple years ago. THat was also a fun gift. I am sure you will pick a great favor.

I am with Lee, my FBIL gave out ice buckets and I love them and we use them regularly. My second favorite was a christmas ornament given at my brothers 6 years ago. Still every year when visiting family I see the ornament on peoples trees! If my wedding was in the winter, I would totally go for the ornaments!

The favorite I've received was CD of the ccouples fav music.

But I have to admit the cookies or wine would top that-- I've just never received them..

That was my plan of a favor!!!! I cant believe it. I guess that ones out the door, huh.

Now for my favorite ( and trying to change your mind): is the christmas ornament. I have always been obsessed with ornaments- FH and I get one from wherever we are visiting or vactioning at.

A real unique wine bottle topper. I use it all the time.

This is what I was going to have them say: 'Truly cut out for each other'

I found it in a magazine. They were on tented cards with cutouts for the cookie cutters. On the top had the above saying. the cutter was tied on with ribbon. On the bottom left has your names. the bottom right has the date. And on the inside has a recipe to make sugar cookies.

I cant wait to get them!!

Jennifer, the cookie idea is so cute!!! I love it!!!

Edited to say, FH is a try wine fanatic. Since a lot our frends have given us wine stoppers through the years, we have more than we can use.

But that being said, we are also always using at least one.
