I just booked my wedding at the Venetian Yacht Club for May of 2008. I'm so happy to hear it turrned out so well for your wedding. I would LOVE to see your pictures when you get them back. I have yet to see the room completely decorated. Did you use the upstairs as your reception room or cocktail room?

The photographers name never showed up in my first post, i was like great my first post and im having problems...I had went to a bridal show and had seen F I N E Art, patken and sherwood triart there so after the bridal show i asked about them...But soon after i found out about angelica glass and never met with any of them
but here is my first post:
Has anyone used them? Went to a bridal show last week and liked them alot, the guy was great too. Just wanted to get some info from anyone who might have used them. Also looking at Patken and Sherwood Triart. Any info will be helpful, thank you.

Good Idea! Here was mine on the official Westbury Manor thread, it was about this complimentary wedding service that the WM offered. I actually didn't even know about this chat board until I did a search for WM on google and came accross a post. I'm so glad I did!
Hey... I was actually going to ask about that too! I was just contacted by them and I'm not sure if I want to use them or not... I might just set up an appointment and see what I think. I already booked my band and photographer without them though, so we'll see how they react to that... If they don't seem too controlling maybe i'll let them help me out...

im planning on getting married on long island next year feb 23rd.. but im planning it from half way across the country
i grew up in lindenhurst so that where i want to get married
im coming up there in 3 weeks to start the planning
any sugesstions on where to go..i already know where i want the reception

My first post was way back on April 16 last year.
Congrats to everyone. This is my first post on the boards. I got engaged Christmas Eve and immediately thought to have May 2008. After talking to many people, Im contemplating whether or not to have July since it will be cheaper. However, I want it early in the month before it get too hot. I was thinking of a friday night so it will be cheaper, but the first friday in July is the fourth of july. So my question is, what if i was to have it on the 3rd, which is a thursday. I don't think it will be bad since most people have off on the fourth anyway. My parents are split on the decision and my FH of course is says whatever i want is fine with him. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?

it wouldnt let me do that either so what i did was put in my name and then in the search box, they have the drop down menu to pick from and to dates, i did the month i joined only to search for my posts

i couldnt at first either.. I put in date in the search range. I joined in January of 06 so i put that as t he beginning date and know that i reached 1000 in the summer so i put June as the end date.

Anyone getting married January 12 - it would be really cool to find the other bride from JT on that day ( if there is one yet. . . i booked Jan 15, 2006) I already picked out a dress BUT i am waiting to go to Italy before actually buying it . . .

Quick question: I loved the votive candle place cards, but where did you get them engraved with the guests names and tables and stuff?
