What was your initial reaction when your FI proposed??

I ask if he was jocking? even thought he was shacking in one knee and with a ring in his hands.
And then I start crying (happy cry) like for 1/2 and I had to sit down.

I started to yell at him 'are you serious?' and then I walked away in disbelief repeating 'oh my god' over and over again. Finally, I realized he was swerious when he was down on one knee so I got down on my knees too and said Yes! (actually I said OF COURSE I WILL lol)

I screamed Oh My GoD and started hysterical crying. It took me about five minutes of crying before I was likes yes yes oh god yes I'll marry you! Im such a loser, if there could have been a ugliest reaction award I would have gotten it!

I didn't really pay attention to him and my eyes so I ignored him . I said YES! After blacking out a couple of times and waiting for the color slowly coming back to my face.

My intial reaction was 'SHUT-UP....YOUR LYING!' Even though we have been together for almost 6 years, I had basically given up all hope and just stopped expecting it... and sure enough when i least expected it....he did it!!!!

before he got down on one knee... he was like ' i need to talk to you about something' I was like OMG he brought me to disney to break up with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear to god!

then when he got down on one knee i was shaking... like crazy

Well, I was all excited because I was waiting to see when he would do it. I asked him not to make a big deal, so it was just the two of us when I woke up on Christmas morning. So, he gets dowm on one knee, give a beautiful speech, I say yes and then he opens the box, AND THE BOX IS EMPTY I threw the box across the room, slapped him on the arm and stomped out the room. He knew I was waiting for that ring for awhile so he got a kick out of doing that. I did not think it was funny, but he put the ring on my finger and it was a very merry christmas after that

Hahaha...

I never wear rings and no one knows my size so I was like *** but it turns out he figured out that he estimated that his pinky was the same size as my ring finger...and he was somehow exactly correct.

He really did a great job of surprising the hell out of me while we were vacationing in quebec city.

Funny story though: It's amazing that he was able to make it a surprise because on the way up, our muffler fell off in the middle of nowhere near lake george. He had to get the ring out of the suitcase in the trunk without looking suspicious before the tow truck guys took the car! Haha....

Oh and another funny part: in the middle of his very nice speech he was like 'I love you...and I'm really glad we came here' (to Quebec).

I STILL didn't get that he was proposing so I was like 'Me too' and gave him a hug and started to lead him to walk away thinking...aww that was the end of a really nice speech. And then while I was hugging him he pulled out the ring and I was like...ummmmmmmm ok guess he's not finished. Haha. This is how freaking clueless I was....

And my DAD knew for three weeks before...haha...

I thought he was joking. I told him to get up it's cold outside b/c he proposed in the snow and i was shaking so much i couldn't get my hand to be still.
