My friend just got engaged and I want to get her a subscription to a few magazines. Which ones do you think are best?

imo, Brides is the best and the only one worth subscriping to..i got it b/c it was $20 for 2 years....

Hands down favorite, Martha Stewart Weddings (I highly recommend the planner as well). Also helpful and enjoyable are The Knot, Modern Bride, Brides and Long Island Weddings. I'm not sure what magazines I'll read after the wedding is over- I've become an addict!

I received a 'Brides' magazine for a xmas present the xmas we became engaged. In the magazine was a card to get 'Brides' and 'Modern Bride' for one year for $17.67, so that is what I did. I get a magazine each month.

I never subscribed to any. I like the KNot, Martha Stewart. As for content, Martha has the most 'ideas' all of them have way too many advertisements.
FYI -You get free wedding magazines if you register at Fortunoffs.

I did not. Most of them are for $$$$$$ wedding I could not relate too. Too much to do to have time to read them.

i get brides and modern bride, they have a combo subscription for a year so you get a mag every month and i also got martha stewart weddings for a year. the knot magazine was nice but a little pricy for what is in it.

I get Bride magazine. After the subscription is up, I'm not renewing, cause I have all I need. They have great ideas every month though. Plus I still like looking at the gowns.

I like Martha Stewart weddings, but I recieved a planner and a few other actual BOOKS when I got engaged and I liked that better than magazines, just my opinion...

I don't subscrobe - they say the same thing over and over again - and after you get your vendors, I feel theres no point - I thumb thru now and then when I'm at a bookstore...

I don't subscribe either, got like 15-20 magazines recently from going to bridal expos. They give out a ton of mags at those shows!
