What wedding related thing are you dreading the most??

I'm absolutely dreading the seating arrangements. And I'm a little nervous about the Thank You cards after the wedding. I know I'm a complete procrastinator but I hope I can get them done shortly after the HM (I know that won't happen!). FH's friend got married in July and, right after they returned from their HM, we received a TY card. I was thinking they must have been writing them on their HM because how the heck did they get them out soooo quickly?!?

What are you guys dreading or worried about doing?

i have the whole step parent/ parent issue...

i don't want to deal with the whole walking down the aisle father daughter dance crapola...

my mom keep sharassing me and I keep ignoring it and talking about peonies...

Ughh me too!!

Mostly bc my mom is remarried and my dad isn't - and to be honest I don't even know if my dad KNOWS that she's remarried. Thinking about that whole thing makes me sick.

FH has the step parent issue too but I think they will be civil to each other ... I think I dread if one of the vendors effs up and either forgets a cp or something goes wrong with the setup of the room

i already asked my stepdad to walk me down the aisle and my dad does not know...

I am dreading the seating arrangements and DIY projects like the programs and place cards and the DIY Unity candle. I am just scared I will mess them up since I am not crafty at all. These are minor things but what I am dreading most it....


Dancing with my Father. We are estranged and it will be very uncomfortable, disturbing and sad for me but I have to just tough it out since he has paid about $10,000.00 for this wedding. I have to do the right thing. It is just going to be very hard for me. I will be looking at FH, my Mommy and my sister the whole time.

FH has the whole step parent thing too....Like with the Unity candle, am I suppose to have the two sets on his side go up???? Plus his father just has a gf, and his mother doesn't like the father, I don't know if they would even go up together........


Then i was told you can just do the mothers....which will be fine cause I really don't want my step father there anyway..

And precana I know his is so not looking forward to that....

My FH has that same issue. His mom basically told us that the stepmom can not be there (his father cheated on his mom and married the woman he cheated with). Which puts us in a really weird situation. How do we tell his father...we would like you there but you can't bring your wife?!? I'm worried that the stepmom will just show up and piss FH's mom off and then there will be a fight. I just cant understand how grown ups can still act like such children. Its water under the bridge. Cant they just be happy for us? Such drama....

Paying for it!! I am stressing these days that we aren't going to have enough money!!!! Some months I am not able to save bc unexpected things come up with the house etc.

HAHA!!!

I have the same situation and as soon as I read the topic I had to chime in!! My problem is that my mom has been married 4 times and I still have one of my previous step dads in my life so he'll be there along with my real dad and my current stepfather (AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!) It sounds like a soap opera right?!!! I am absolutely petrified about the whole family thing!! I don't know what I'm gonna do!!!

with the seating chart, use paper plates and post-it's!!!! then you can move people around and get a really good idea of where they will be situated. :)

i'm worried about getting RSVPs back late and being completely tied down waiting for people to RSVP. my sister was dealing with that issue. her rsvp date was october 1st and have just received some peoples!!!

im dreading having to deal with RSVP drama people are sooo ballsy - i read about so many 08 brides that had problems and i honestly didnt think i would have any - and i am right now....people think its a bbq and they can just bring however many people they want with them its like they forget what the whole purpose of an invitation is someone asked how many people they can bring - because the RSVP card says # attending - so he thought that meant he could put whatever he wanted and he wants to bring his whole family

i also have divorced parents AND FH does too. my parents get along fine surprisingly. BUT FH's stepmom is a really big problem. FH's siblings have been fighting with FFIL and his wife for over a year. we went over there after we got engaged and i was being nice by being there I THOUGHT because of all the issues. then a few days later when FFIL came over to drop off his invite list, he had a whole conversation about how Susan (stepmom) is mad at me and how i was so disrespectful to her! we hadn't even been engaged A WEEK and already she made it about here AGAIN!!!! she is so insane that FFIL told FH at dinner one night that he didn't know if he is coming to our wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how does someone tell their son that?!?!?!!!?!?!

Honestly, I am dreading buying gifts for the bridal party!!! I absolutely HATE buying gifts for people because I am so afriad that they wont like what I get them! I have been looking around for months and I am still clueless as to what I am getting them!

I am planning to do them BEFORE.. I know this is crazy but I am sooo bad at this and know if I just do the addressing, and basic thank you, then fill in the details after HM, I can mail them right out. . so put the thanks for coming etc. . then add the LOVe the punchbowl stuff after. . .
