i agree that ppl just always end up getting offended with these threads...BUT personally i havent seen a poofy sleeved dress nor have i seen anyone wearing it in quite a while. I went to kleinfelds which has more dresses in their stores than any other place, and i didnt see one puffy sleeved dress, but even if there are some still around that doesnt categorize it as 'BEING IN' the fact that some are still around and or made isnt the definition of a style being over. Theres things that were done last year and ppl are already over it, its still around but some just categorize it as something they are over.

First Long Sleeves are classy and will never be over...if done right
tiaras are an accessorie that will always exist its like a hair comb or a headband some brides love them some dont
pick ups are the equivalent to the 80s puffy sleeve but they are still around so not over....its over when they are no longer made....
bo-k toss and garter toss...what ever happen to tradition ?
and the brides and groom table will always exist...hello its about them~~!!~~
oh and the bride and groom going under the flowers.....thats something I've heard of but never seen because its just tacky...
oh and I dont like this whole topic its opinion based and some people might get offended

You'd be surprised... my mom pulled a dress for me to try on that had BIG puffy off the shoulder sleeves/straps -- looked like big scrunchies! (she hadn't looked at it closely)

lol, fh and i were at a wedding about a year ago and i caught the bo-k and i completely wasn't thinking about the whole garter part.. so anyway, some guy catches the garter and fh goes up to him and he's like 'your not touching my girl, give me that.'![]()

the guy handed him the garter and fh put it on me. he was so embarrassed. he's like why did you have to catch that stupid thing??

I will not be doing the whole garter belt/throwing of the bouquet at the reception either. I don't like it, even when I was single I hated the bouquet throwing at wedding. My opinion of course.

I'm sooooooooooo not doing a bouquet toss.....When you're in your 20s and it's a bunch of you single girls getting up there and being drunk and stupid, that's one thing.
BUT....as time went on and I was the only single girl left, I absolutely HATED it that every bride would get up and scream, 'CYNDY!!! GET UP HERE!' when I would hide in the back of the hall!
No way am I doing that to anybody!

Im committing a HUGE faux pas here...
I know its kinda out but i am going to do the bouquet/garter toss just because when I was younger I would always look through my moms album and always ask her 'who was in your wedding party' and 'who caught your bouquet? and who caught the garter?' Sounds silly but I guess its tradition to me so thats why Im doing it.
