What week were you in when you went for the 1 hour glucose test??

My Dr. gave me the referral form for the test but I forgot when she said to go. I am 26 weeks. I wanted to go before my next appointment which I will be 27 wks 3 days. Can I go in the next week? TIA.

I am 26 weeks today. I will be in my 28th week when I go on Jan 12.

I was in my 28th week.

I just went on Monday, I am 29/30 weeks.

He gave me the form after my last appointment (Beginning of Dec.), and told me to get it done before I saw him next (Beginning of Jan.)

What's the 1hr glucose test?
Please excuse my ignorance... 1st time mommy here, and I'm only 9 weeks in.

It is a test where they screen you for gestational diabetes - something that some woman get while pregnant. You have to drink a drink (mostly likely orange - very sweet and kind of flat - to me it tastes like flat sunkist soda) and wait one hour and then they take some blood. If you fail this test (which I did) within a certain range, you go for the glucose tolerance test - which is three hours. You drink the drink and they take blood once every hour for three hours....I have to go and schedule this for next week - hopefully I pass this one.

Too much information for me to try to swallow all at once... having a baby is NO JOKE! lol
