What will you/do you call your FIL/IL's

I still call my IL's Mr. and Mrs. XXX. My FIL's birthday was on the 2nd and I had to call him on the phone to wish him well. He answered the phone and it was so strange! I didn't know what to call him. So, I stuck with Mr. XXX as I have for the last 7 years. DH and I have been married for a year. I don't think I'll ever call them Mom and Dad. I'd like to call them by their first name, but I am not sure that is okay. Usually I just say 'Hi!' and I don't have to worry about it, but I think that I have to come up with something!

I started off calling them Mr and Mrs X and then I let their first name drop every once in a while to see a reaction and when it wasn't negative I forged ahaead. Now I just call them by their first names. I didn't want to call them Mom and Dad because I already have a mom and dad and it felt weird. My mom took the offensive with my FH and asked him to please call her and my father by their first name sand not to be embarrassed because they are all adults.

what about MIL and FIL My friend calls her IL's that and they love it ...I'm gonna try and use that one cause no way in hell a i calling them mom and dad I have those already ....

Growing up, my Dad always called my Mom's folks 'Mom and Dad' - I always thought it was because they were Italian. Ha ha!

I will just continue to call them by their first names and he will too - though I think he still calls my mom Mrs. ______. Ha ha!

I call all my FMIL/FFIL mom and dad and all of FH's aunts, uncles, grandparents I call aunt, uncles, grandma... And I consider his cousins my cousins... I guess thats just the type of family we are... He does the same with mine except he calls my father Pop....
We dont get mixed up when both of our parents are around... I call my parents mommy and daddy LOL and he does the same with his mom... His father he calls all sorts of names haha

For the longest time I just didn't speak to them unless they were already looking at me & I didn't have to address them I remember when I was like 15 I called them Mr & Mrs XXX & they were like 'Why so formal?!', but I felt weird calling them anything else so I just stopped addressing them. Now I call them by their first names if I'm forced to address them. Mom & Dad doesn' feel right & neither does Mr & Mrs. X because that's our name too!

When FH and I got engaged FMIL said 'now that you're engaged you don't have to call me Mrs. X, you can call me whatever you want' FH and I start laughing and she goes... 'well not whatever you want' (b/c she's a bit crazy)

I'm married almost 3 months and I still don't know... When speaking to me, they now refer to each other by their first names, so I guess they want me to call them tjhat. When they were visiting not that long ago, and I said 'Todd' (My DH and FIL's name) his dad would answer, too, and his mom called once and said 'It's Linda.'

So... I guess first names?

I sometimes call my FIL *dad* and my MIL by her first name...

She's my husband's step mother and only JUST became his step mother so I feel weird calling her mom.

But I like calling FIL dad b/c DH does... though i feel like im cheating on my own dad.

I call them by their first names, because that's how they introduced themselves.

DH calls mine Mr. & Mrs. D....my mom yells at him. She wants him to either use first names or Momma & Poppa D (that's what my best friends call my parents.)

I can't say what I really want to call FMIL. But, I've always addressed them as Mr.& Mrs. I know usually after marriage you would call them by first name. But, I guess it's what you feel most comfortable with.
