My nan didn't want to be called Grandma because she thought it sounded so old so we had Nanny and Papa. I thought my parents would be the same, but they're calling themselves Grandma and Grandpa with my nephew...

As of right now, our dogs 'call' my mother Gwammy (it's actually making fun of my aunt whose grandkids call her Grammy and it's all you hear out of her mouth every five seconds) ...

My sisters kids call our mom and dad Mimi and Papa, My husbands parents said they would be fine with grandma and grandpa. When my baby gets older I guess it may even come up with its on name for its grandparents...

My mom and dad will be Mama & Papa.

My mom: Memere and my dad was Pepere.
Pronounced Memay and Pepay- it's french.
My DH's parents: not sure yet..I'll have to ask them.

Patrick calls my MIL Granny
My parents & my FIL aren't alive but he refers to them as Grandma & Poppy. And my FIL is Grandad

My parents go by Grandma & Papa (or Pops as my niece Emily calls him)
My in-laws are Greek so they go by Ya-Ya and Pa-Pu

right now we call both sets of parents grandma and grandpa.. we have not decided if we are goiong to give them different names. My sister and I used to call me grandfather Uncle Daddy becasue when my sister was born my grandfather thought that he was too young to be a grandpa so he made my sisdter call him that and it stuck

My kids call my parents Nana and Dziadzou (pronounced Jajoo, it is polish for Papa). I love these names they remind me of a nurturing couple, exactly what my parents are! They are total terms of endearment.
My inlaws are Grandma and Pop.

Dh's dad: not sure, perhaps grandpa, but i guess we'll have to ask him what he wants when the time comes.

We don't have kids yet, but my nephew calls my mom babci (polish for grandma). His other grandparents, he calls grandma and pop pop. He calls his great grandmother grandma-2.

I have a Babci! It is my kid's great Grandma and they call her Babci too. My Mom is not polish, she is Italian/Irish, so she preferred Nana.

He will call my parents Grandpa and my Mom I call her every name GMA (what I called my grandmother), Nonna, Naunie
