My nan didn't want to be called Grandma because she thought it sounded so old so we had Nanny and Papa. I thought my parents would be the same, but they're calling themselves Grandma and Grandpa with my nephew...

For the longest time, Amber would say 'oma-oma' when she saw my mother. That's German for Grandma. Then again, we don't know for sure if she knew what she was saying, so we'll let her come up with her own name for Grandma.

the baby will call
My parents: Gammy and grandpa
inlaws: Mom-mom and pop-pop
It is what me and my DH called are grandparents so we want are kids to call our parents by those names.

I imagine our kids will call my in-laws Nonna and Opa (Italian Grandmother and German Grandfather) - since thats what their other grandchildren call them.
I have no idea what my parents would want to be called. I guess when the time comes, I'll ask....

My son calls my FIL Nonno ( Italian for Grandfather and he calls my MIL Nonna ( Italian for Grandmother) He calls my mom Nanna and unfortunatly he does not have a relationship with my dad. If he did he would call him grandpa.

my mom started out as grandma...but now that my nephew is learning to speak...it has become Gaamma. its actually kind of cute...and she loves to hear my nephew call her Gaamma.

My child would call his grandparents 'Nonno' and 'Nonna' - italian for grandpa and grandma

well since my daughter has 3 sets of grandparents she will call my mother and father what I use to call my grandmothe and grandfather wich was mima and pipa my FH mother and stepfather are nana and poppy and his stepmother and father are grandma and grandpa

We always called my mothers grandmother( my great grandma) when she was alive MEMA... My mom wants to keep that tradition going in her memory and wants her grandchildren to call her MEMA... my dad jokes around and says he wants the baby to call him CHIEF ( which is something we all call him as a joke...its his rank in the military and he is married to the navy ) I dont think he is serious...
I know my fmil wants to be called grandma... but Im not sure what ffil wants to be called...im assuming grandpa as well....
